Moving Forward — by Sitting Still

Summer vacation backgroundEvery once in a while, no matter how determined one is to move forward in whatever one is doing, it’s a good idea to stop for a little while, take a break, change focus for a while.

I’ll be taking a blog-break for the rest of the summer. It’s not that I’ll be doing nothing — I’m taking Emma Walton Hamilton’s fantastic Just Write for Middle Grade online/homestudy course so I’m writing a new middle grade novel as part of the process of that course, and I’m working through revisions of an adult novel as well.

Also, be assured that FLUBS2FIXES is open throughout the summer, and I welcome inquiries for copy editing!

I’ll be doing a little renovating and remodeling around the blog, and if there’s anything you’d like to see here, please let me know — any particular topics, posts, anything? Just let me know in the comments.

By Word of Beth will return on Monday, September 8th (the first Monday in September is Labor Day, so I’ll wait until the second Monday to start blogging again). The next post in Julie Gribble’s wonderful guest series will be September 15th.

Have a great summer (or winter, for those of you in the southern hemisphere) and I’ll see you back here in September!

  1. Hope you really enjoy the course. I’m looking forward to doing some in the fall and winter, once my daughter is settled in at college.

Don’t forget just to go outside and enjoy the warmth of summer. 🙂
