In the April 25, 2024 newsletter, the writing sample was
Ebony Kitten asked, Is it a trick Mama. Mama says, “Don’t make a noise.” Mama grrs at the human. But the human didn’t go away. The human put a bowl full of gooshy stuff. Ebony Kitten couldn’t help herslef. She nibbled the gooshy stuff. “Don’t take their food!” Mama grred again. But then Mama put her nose closer to the bowl, and licked the stuff. “Well, maybe this is okay. But be careful!!!”

In the March 28, 2024 newsletter, the writing sample was
Ebony Kitten felt a big human hand around her. She gives her fiercest hiss, but the human didn’t run away. The human slid its hand on her back. Head-tail. Head-tail. Opening her mouth to hiss, the human popped something inside. Something gooshy. Oooooooh! She just can’t help it. She swallowed and licked her lips. Yummy! The human gave her brother some, too. And Mama. Mama hissed, but licked her lips, too. But what was going to happen next, Mama wondered.

In the February 29, 2024 newsletter, the writing sample was
Ebony, the little black kitten, was sitting huddled at the back of the crate. The little black kitten was afraid of the big human who had caught her Mama and her two brothers and her. Mama was hissing. She knew that meant danger.
