And the Winner of “Treasury for All Seasons” is…

Hand throwing piece of paper for lotteryThrough the random number generator on the random.org site, a winner has been selected for the copy of Julie Andrews’ Treasury for All Seasons: Poems and Songs to Celebrate the Year, a poetry anthology put together by Julie Andrews and Emma Walton Hamilton.

As with all my giveaways, I wish I could give a copy to each of you. However, that isn’t possible. I do encourage you to either purchase the book or find it in the library. It is a joy.

I like the way Cynthia Lord selects winners for her giveaways — she writes each name on a separate piece of paper, folds the papers, puts them in a semi-circle, and lets her guinea pig, Cookie, choose the winner. (Or is that “chews…”) In the absence of a guinea pig, I have relied on random.org.

There were 127 comments over the course of December — each time a person commented, they were entered into the draw. I listed all the comments in order, then had random.org generate a random number selected from 1 to 127.

The number selected was 33. Lucky number 33 is Kellie-Jeanne Johnston! Congratulations, Kellie-Jeanne. I know you will give Treasury a good home, and will enjoy the wonderful poems it has to offer.

Thanks to all who commented on the posts in my month of gifts. I am the recipient of the best gift — having all of you as part of my community. I wish you all a happy and fulfilling new year!
