Liebster Blog Award — Spreading the Love

In the past couple of days, I’ve received the Liebster Blog award not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! I’m really feeling the love!

My gratitude goes to Bethany Telles at Perched in a Tree, Rena J. Traxel, at Rena J. Traxel: Writer. Poet. Humorist, and Debbie LaCroix at Little Debbie Writes.

To read more about the Liebster Blog Award, click on the magic words:

“Liebster is a German word, meaning dearest or beloved, but it can also mean favorite. The idea behind the Liebster Blog Award is that it is given to bloggers who have less than 200 followers in order to create new connections and bring attention to these wonderful blogs!”

The requirements are simple: Add the award to your blog (simply save the logo above to your desktop, then add it to your blog). Thank the giver with a link back to them. Pass the award along to five other bloggers, and let them know they’ve been given an award by leaving a comment on their blog. Hope that your followers will spread the love to the blogs you’ve spotlighted.

With this award coming so quickly after the Kreativ Blogger award with its request for ten facts, it means you’re hearing a lot about me in a very short time. I promise that I won’t take the three Liebsters as an opportunity to triple the five random things to fifteen!

Five new and different random things about me? Okay.

1. A couple of years ago, I thought seriously about purchasing an original Blake Edwards painting. I so wish I had done so.

2. I find genealogy fascinating, but frustrating. I want to know people’s stories as well as their names and their birth, death, and marriage dates.

3. I particularly like the number 12, so my birthday this year will be a special one — 12/12/12!

4. I like to eat frozen mango chunks and frozen blueberries while they’re still frozen.

5. I have a feeling that something splendid will happen in my life this year! I’ll let you know when it does.

~~~~~
And now the best part of any blog award — giving it to someone else! For the most part, these are blogs I’ve just discovered. They’re all blogs of members of 12 x 12 in 2012 (ooooh, more twelves!). It’s too bad I only get to pick five! But, those are the rules. Please visit these bloggers, and if you like what you see on their blogs, click to follow!
Sheri at Sheri Mills Cook: Writer, Illustrator
Tanya at Midwest Musings
Jennifer at Jennifer Kirkeby (impressions of life, writing, theatre and family)
Robin at Making Rainbows
Helga at Helga Harrumphs
Thanks again to Bethany, Rena and Debbie. Happy blogging, everyone!
    1. Frozen fruit in natural yogurt is exactly how I like my frozen blueberries!
      Thank you, Joanna. I can hardly wait to see what unfolds for #5, as well!
    1. I’m really feeling the love! Since I’ve been so well Liebster’d already, best that you find someone else to share the award with — but thank you so much!
  1. Frozen blueberries is a favorite snack for my boys, you have excellent taste! Congratulations and I hope this year does hold something amazing for you.
  2. Thank you so much for the Liebster Blog Award! I too love the number 12, btw…perhaps because my birthday’s on the 12th of August, and I’ve told my whole family this is a special year somehow. Not sure why yet, but can’t wait to find out!
    1. You are very welcome! It’s going to be fun to find out why we have that feeling about this year, isn’t it? And how cool to meet another “12” aficionado. I still remember the delight with which I greeted my twelfth birthday, because I loved the thought that I was turning twelve on the twelfth day of the twelfth month.
  3. Like your #5 — you are your beliefs and I know that putting out something so positive is a good thing, Also like frozen blueberries and sour cherries. Love mangos, will have to try them frozen.
    1. Thanks Pat. I used to be able to get frozen cherries, and loved ’em, but they’re no longer available here. I buy bags of frozen mango chunks — they’re my “popsicles” in the summer!
  4. You sweet, sweet lady! Thank you. 🙂 Whilst rushing around and caring for a toddler who has just had his tonsils out, this was a lovely little surprise. Much appreciated Beth! 😀
  5. I love frozen mangos and blueberries too! I used to eat them until my tummy froze. Now in Miao Town I can’t find an affordable source, but when I had a Trader Joe’s or Whole Food’s nearby, they were one of my favorite snacks.
    Yay! for #5. Something splendid will happen and I can’t wait to find out what it is. 😀
    1. Next time I have either treat, I’ll lift a spoonful in a toast in your direction, and think of you.
      I can’t wait to find out what # 5 is, too!!! 😀
